Constitution Hill...part 1
For our day off on the 8th, we took a tour to Constitution Hill, which is home to the former prison (which housed both Nelson & Winnie Mandela, as well as Mahatma Gandhi), court house and fort. This was further insight to South Africa's turbulent and often brutal past.
The complex is located in the notorious neighbourhood of 'Hillbrow' one of the most dangerous places in South Africa...

Soweto part 1
Known as the 'city within a city' and probably the World's most famous township, Soweto covers a larger land area than Cardiff and his home for 3 million Johannesburgers. An informative (largely down to our excellent guide PJ), insightful and eye opening day.
From the new wealth, the homes of Winnie Mandela and Desmond Tutu, the street side barbershops, stalls, shopping malls and the 100s of churches, temples and places of worship, this was a fantastic experience.
